Older Youth Program (Chafee)
Missouri Children's Division
Aftercare for young adults who left Missouri foster care after 18 and are under 23: a personal advisor, emergency funds for rent, utilities, car repairs, and food, short-term housing help of about 90 days, job training referrals, and the Education and Training Voucher of up to $5,000 per year. MO HealthNet coverage continues automatically to age 26.
Who it's for
Ages 14–23 currently or formerly in Children's Division custody; aftercare is for those who exited care after age 18 and are not yet 23
How to get in
Contact your local Children's Division office to complete the application; staff refer you to the regional Older Youth Transition Specialist. ETV and tuition waiver applications are online at fc2sprograms.org/missouri
