How to get in

Schedule an office visit online or by calling 888-SOS-MICH (888-767-6424). Online and mail applications are not available for a first-time ID.

What to bring

Proof of legal presence (such as a certified birth certificate or passport), one Social Security document, one proof of identity, two proofs of Michigan residency, a name-change document if your name differs from your birth certificate, and $10. Originals only, in English or with a translation.
