Kansas DCF benefits for young adults who were in foster care at 18 or left custody through SOUL Family permanency after 16: Medicaid to age 26, a monthly living subsidy to 21, Chafee funds for daily-living costs, Education and Training Vouchers, and a tuition waiver at Kansas public colleges. Regional IL coordinators determine eligibility and open cases.
Who it's for
Kansas residents who were in DCF, KDOC juvenile, or tribal custody at age 18, or exited through SOUL Family Legal Permanency after age 16; most services end at 21 or 26 depending on program

Call the IL line or email your regional coordinator (DCF.WichitaIL@ks.gov, DCF.KansasCityIL@ks.gov, DCF.EastIL@ks.gov, DCF.WestIL@ks.gov). Medical coverage is applied for through kancare.ks.gov.
What to bring
Proof of Kansas residence; a plan for diploma, GED, or full-time work for the IL subsidy; diploma or GED for ETV
