Independent Living Program
Alabama Department of Human Resources
DHR's transition program for teens and young adults in foster care. Every youth 14 and older served by DHR gets independent-living services; young people 18 through 20 who left care can come back and ask for help. Also administers the Education and Training Voucher and Fostering Hope Scholarship.
Who it's for
Youth 14+ in DHR custody or ongoing protective services; former foster youth 18–20 who were in care on or before their 18th birthday
