Firehouse Ministries

Downtown Birmingham shelter and day program for men experiencing chronic homelessness. Walk in with no appointment or referral; first-time bed requests line up by 5:30 p.m. for a 24-bed nightly lottery. Lunch at noon is open to anyone. Men are not turned away for active addiction, a record, or lack of ID.

How to get in

Walk in; get a Continuum of Care ID on site (Mon/Thu/Sat 2:30–5); line up by 5:30 p.m. for a bed
