Extended Foster Care Program
Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services
Voluntary program for young adults who turned 18 in foster care and are under 21. A LifeSet caseworker meets with you at least weekly to work on school, employment, housing, and independent living skills. Entry is through a referral form or DCFS customer service.
Who it's for
Turned 18 while in foster care and not yet 21; must be in school, a job-readiness program, working 80+ hours a month, or medically unable to do so
