DCF programs for teens and young adults leaving foster care: Adolescent Outreach Workers teach life skills and provide six months of aftercare after discharge, the Discharge Support Program helps with rent, deposits, and utilities for youth leaving care at 18 or older, and PAYA and employment programs build independence. Former foster youth who left DCF at 18 or older can still request Outreach services.
Who it's for
Youth ages 14–21 in DCF placement, youth discharging from care at 18 or older, and former foster youth who left DCF care at 18 or older.

Ask your DCF social worker or Area Office about Adolescent Outreach and Discharge Support, or call DCF's main line.
