Downtown Women's Center
Day center for women and survivors of violence on Skid Row with daily meals, showers, mail, case management, mental health care, a women's health clinic, and permanent supportive housing. No formal intake is needed to visit.
GLIDE Daily Free Meals
Three free meals every day in San Francisco's Tenderloin with no eligibility requirements and no intake form. GLIDE also runs a Welcome Center, workforce development, a women's center, a transitional age youth program, and a legal clinic.
Delancey Street Foundation
Free two-year residential self-help community for people with substance use histories, prior convictions, or homelessness, where residents learn vocational, academic, and interpersonal skills. Applicants write from jail or show up at the building and wait on the bench for an interview.
Father Joe's Villages
San Diego's largest homeless services campus with a daily day center, public lunch, showers, mail, a health clinic, detox and MAT, family shelter intake, and employment help. Show up in person before 11am on a weekday to be scheduled for an assessment.
Refugee Resettlement and Employment Programs
Reception and placement for newly arrived refugees, community-resource help for Cuban and Haitian entrants, and Match Grant job search, employment coaching and placement for refugees, entrants and asylees. Adult clients are referred through Migration and Refugee Services and the USCCB.
Lotus House Women's Shelter
Shelter for women, youth and children experiencing homelessness in Miami, with meals, therapy, education and employment help on site. Youth and domestic violence survivors can contact Lotus House directly; everyone else is asked to go through the Miami Homeless Program first.
Metropolitan Ministries
Tampa Bay nonprofit serving poor and homeless families and individuals in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas with emergency family shelter, a food market, rent and utility help and job training. Its Metro BrigAIDe mobile outreach team helps with IDs, SNAP and Medicaid applications and housing assessments at more than 20 sites.
Sulzbacher Center
Jacksonville's largest provider of homeless services, with men's housing downtown on East Adams Street and women's and family housing at Sulzbacher Village in Springfield. Offers street outreach, daily meals, emergency and permanent housing, the Duval Family Health Center, veteran services and job placement.
Georgia Refugee Program
The State Refugee Coordinator's office coordinates resettlement agencies, job placement and Refugee Cash Assistance for newly arrived refugees across Georgia. It also explains how refugees apply for SNAP, Medicaid, TANF or RCA through Georgia Gateway or a county DFCS office.
New American Pathways
Atlanta resettlement agency offering case management, job placement, English and GED classes, immigration consultations and family violence prevention to refugees, asylees and trafficking survivors. Most services are by appointment, with walk-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
International Rescue Committee in Atlanta
Resettles refugees arriving in metro Atlanta and helps them find housing, enroll children in school, reach health care and start work. The office also offers low-cost immigration legal help, youth programs for ages 5 to 24, and career development for asylees and SIV holders.
Gateway Center
Downtown Atlanta's main front door for people without housing. It runs coordinated entry for the city, an engagement center with day services, and residential tracks for men including the Upward addiction-recovery program and a two-year veterans program.
The Shepherd's Inn
Shelter and residential program for up to 450 single men a day, with meals, counseling, recovery programming, job training and legal help. Arrive at the Mills Street gate early; pre-screening happens before the weekday morning intake window.

Samaritas New Americans
One of Michigan's largest refugee resettlement agencies, with offices in Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing. Provides arrival resettlement, employment and education support, low-fee immigration legal help, case management, and refugee foster care.
Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries
Operates more than ten sites in Detroit and Highland Park offering overnight emergency shelter with meals, showers, and clothing, plus withdrawal management, substance use treatment, transitional housing for men in recovery and women with children, and job training.
Cass Community Social Services

Durham's primary public shelter for single men and women, with nine family rooms, a cafe serving three free meals every day of the year, and a food pantry and clothing closet. Shelter placement goes through Entry Point Durham, which currently does intakes by phone only.
AHOPE Day Center
Asheville's low-barrier day center where showers, breakfast, mail, lockers, phone, and Wi-Fi are available each weekday morning, followed by case management for IDs, housing applications, and job documents. It is the starting point for Homeward Bound's permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, and veteran programs.

State office that funds employment, education, case management, health and cash and medical assistance for newly arrived refugees, delivered through contracted local agencies. Resettlement contractors listed by the state include Nationalities Service Center in Philadelphia (215-893-8400), Hello Neighbor in Pittsburgh (412-567-3946) and Bethany Christian Services in Allentown (484-408-6830).
Allentown Rescue Mission Emergency Shelter
Overnight emergency shelter for men 18 and older in downtown Allentown, with meals, chapel and on-site medical care through the DeSales Clinic. Men may apply to the eight-week Transformation Program and then join the Clean Team workforce.
SEARCH Homeless Services
Houston agency that moves people from the street into housing with case management and wrap-around support, plus street outreach and a preschool for children of families in the program. Housing placement runs through the city's Coordinated Access assessment.

San Antonio homeless campus with a low-barrier South Campus shelter and a North Campus transformational program for Bexar County residents. New arrivals are handled on a walk-in basis at the Intake Building during weekday business hours.

International Rescue Committee — Salt Lake City
Resettles refugees arriving in Utah and also serves asylees, trafficking survivors, torture survivors, and other immigrants from its West Valley office. New arrivals get a furnished home, temporary rent help, school enrollment, health care access, and English classes; longer-term programs cover job placement, financial coaching, small business support, and immigration services.
Utah Youth Village / Milestone programs
Milestone Transitional Living is a Salt Lake County Youth Services program for young adults 18–21 who are homeless or at risk of it, including those who have left foster care, aimed at self-sufficiency. Provo's day center and transitional housing provider for Utah County. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner 365 days a year with no ID or proof of need; weekday showers, laundry, hygiene kits, and clothing without an appointment; on-site medical and dental through partner clinics; case management toward housing and work.
Switchpoint Community Resource Center
Washington County's 24/7 emergency shelter for families and individuals, with a community kitchen, individualized case management, job support, mental health services, and 16 family housing units on the St. George campus. Headquarters at 214 N 1000 E Suite B.
